There was no shift in my Consciousness that I was aware of for myself but other people noticed I was changed.  I proved to myself the advice,  "ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE."   I asked, therefore I was given. I feel very blessed to have been given the life I have. As children in the 50's and 60's,  my younger sister and I  were heavily reliant on Guardian Angels. They would tell us things like "get up out of the snow now" and go get warm or you will die. Or " here are rattlesnakes over there" things like that.  We had an awareness of  life saving/protection around us. We had absolutely no doubt that Jesus and his angels were real. That is pretty blessed, I think.
