I love "spiritizing" uplifting thoughts and there are plenty of them around. As you come to "know them by heart" they can even change meanings. There is something wonderful in the gift you give yourself when you come to to really know and understand something through time and practice, sitting with your own mind, contemplating the spiritual inspirations of our shared world.

SOMETHING TO MEMORIZE

When you take the time to memorize something, you begin to learn the weight and quality of words. As you  practice remembering words, images and concepts, the ideas begin to come alive in your life and understanding diversifies and sinks deeper into you. If you have never memorized much, you will be amazed at the effect on your mind and heart. Choose something that strikes you as beautiful or meaningful and begin to memorize it a few words, or a line at a time. Sometimes putting a complicated poem to music, by singing the words to yourself, makes it easier to remember. Work on one at a time. Practice before sleep. Practice anytime. Recall it at stressful times.
