*      Amanson: Let your fingers do the walking and I shall do the talking. We’ve settled in to focus tonight on this passage of time called Life. Life is the unfolding of the tapestry which you are weaving, a grand design which you have chosen, picked the colors, brought the needles, the skeins of fabric, to create as unforgettable a piece of creation as you can muster and master. It is yours to develop as you please, as it is unfolded crease by crease to unveil the next bit of story to be seen and heard. Such a creation includes many personages, envelops many story lines intertwining to make your own; and of course the joy of joys: those individual stories of the many others involved as well. And when you do this you have the opportunity – I would advise, ‘the obligation’ – to treat all these others to the kindness and consideration that God Himself (choose your pronoun) would bestow on each of the individuals making up your unfolding story. This assures your participation is happily received, as well as the even-handed enjoyment in all the others. It is a way to spread the gospel without having to preach, a way of insuring the spread of Love throughout the ever expanding confines of your unfolding story. It is – it must be – a story of Love, after all. This is the great subject and if one would live a story worth telling its subject must be Love. But not a love of the hand and the heart (as worthy as such might be) but a love of the Soul, that depth of Love that is Life itself. Which brings us back to the beginning of our instruction tonight: “This passage of time called Life”, and the unfolding tapestry you weave of it. Make it a story of Love. Story is how we tell of it, Life. Relationship is its building blocks. And when each relationship is handled with and in Love, we have a story that is Life itself. Life in its essence. Life in its purpose. Life as it was given to be lived.
